 A word of Director – Dutch sport psychologist Wim Keizer:

“I would like to welcome twenty International Sport Psychologists at the end of April for a three day Conference in Amsterdam. Two years ago we have started our Academy for Mental Development of young athletes: Skerpe Jeugd. We have developed an educational series of practical books for age group 11 to 16 years old. We were involved in a several projects in collaboration with Dutch sports clubs. Those projects were focused on organizing workshops for parents and coaches.

Recently we have just finalised a special co-creation project with Chinese sports equipment provider. Our main goal was and is to create a healthy lifestyle for the Chinese youth.

Message that we would like to send out to Chinese parents is: “The sports arena is an ideal place for developing mental skills, self-confidence, intelligence, leadership and social skills, which are also needed in school and later on at the workplace in any career.”

Our idea with this Conference is to interact with Specialists on Youth Development such as: (Sport) Psychologists, Youth Academy Manager, Youth Sports Coach and a Breath work Specialist.

I would personally guide you through the Conference, and hope to learn from your experience as well. I am also interested in exploring future collaboration with participants of this Conference”.

Program (9.00-17.00 hrs) of the conference will contain:

  • Overview of the latest knowledge on youth development;
